| The Llano Museum honors the time when the
city, once an iron city boom town, bustled with activity and the promise of profit.
People from all over came to the City of Llano seeking mineral wealth, ranching
oportunities or just a place to work. Back then Llano was a bustling town with twice
as many residents as there are now.
Louis Bruhl, a former consulate to Catania, Italy settled in Llano and became one of the town's pioneer pharmacists, setting up ship for a drug store. Little did Bruhl know his store's second location would later become a showcase for Llano's historic mementos. Filled with historic treasures generously donated by several long-time county residents, the museum's exhibits include pioneer household items, turn-of-the-century tools, weapons, smoking pipes, jewelry, clothes and furniture. Numerous displays of the county's rare rocks and minerals share the museum with several other exhibits, each one virtually a tale of some origianal Llano pioneer and life in the dust-ridden town. The museum's exhibitions includes the pistols used during the legendary "Fight on Packsaddle Mountain." The Llano Museum, is located in downtown Llano
